The Bali Central Cooperative Credit Union Limited(BACCCUL)”MFI” started  with two credit unions that is the BAKU and the BOH MONTOH Credit Unions.

The BAKU Credit union was created by Mr. Votima Andreas after attending a cooperative meeting in Bamenda where credit union formation was among the discussed topics. The BOH MONTOH Credit Union equally started on the 17th of October 1968 in the house of Ba Nkom Gwankubila Nteh who was elected as the president and Mr. Clement Bigoga as vice president while Mr. Chet Aeschliman assisted the formation of the both Credit Unions. He advised the adoption of the by-laws and handed to them other documents needed for the smooth functioning of the credit union.

These two credit unions operated gradually up to 1971 where Mr. Chet Aeschliman who was the CamCCUL Acting Manager at that time advised them to merge and form a stronger movement. It was for this reason that a joint board meeting was held on the 16th of March 1971.it was followed by an extra-ordinary general meeting on the 23rd of March 1971. The extra general assembly of members unanimously resolved to merge and the name BALI CENTRAL COOPERATIVE CREDIT UNION was voted for under a total participation of 125 members.

A new executive was formed with Mr. John Nkuti and Mr.  Bigoga Clement voted as president and vice. The business office was now hosted by Mr. V.K Musi Shep Wheeler (CamCCUL Field Inspector) assisted the extra- ordinary General meeting where needed materials were provided.
